Welcome to Medical Explorers Post 911

About Us

What we do

The Ventura County Medical Explorer Post 911 is an organization centered in Thousand Oaks which gives youth Explorers insight to multiple different medical fields and opportunities for their futures. The Post is a way for teens interested in any area of science and medicine to explore and further their knowledge about various professions in healthcare. We are the first medical post in the county and often partner with other non-profit organizations such as Safe Passage and Los Robles Hospital. We also provide the Explorers with multiple opportunities such as job shadows and lectures to further their educational experience. Explorers learn a wide range of medical knowledge from basic primary assessment, to hearing from specialized surgeons.
