In order to receive updates towards the Post 911 membership process, you must add yourself to our email list. (Both those interested as well as their parent’s should add themselves)

Important dates

— May 15, 2020: Applications Open
— June 1, 2020 at 8:30PM: Membership Information Meeting on Zoom (Please sign up on our mailing list to receive the zoom link)
— June 5, 2020: Applications Close
— June 13, 2020: Membership Interviews (If Needed, Mandatory)
— June 14, 2020: Membership Decisions Announced (via applicant email) — June 15, 2020 at 19:00: Mandatory New Member Orientation


  • Must be age 14-20 from the time of application
  • Must not be turning 21 within 6 months of application date
  • Must have a GPA of at least 2.0
  • Must not have any history of drug or alcohol abuse
  • Must not have any criminal history, or pending criminal charges

Note: the explorer program has several opportunities and activities that will require physical activity. We will do our best to make exceptions, but please keep this in mind when applying


  • Applicants must commit to at least one year of active membership of no less than 80% attendance at all meetings and events
  • Be early or on time to all Post events
  • Clean and friendly at all Post events
  • Respectful and trustworthy to all individuals
  • Reliable in a team based setting
  • Interested in the medical/health field
  • A positive attitude!

If you have any of the following, the explorer program may not be right for you

  • Severe reaction to the sight of blood, vomit, urine, fecal matter, or other bodily fluid
  • If you are squeamish in any way
  • Severe claustrophobia, vertigo, motion sickness, or other condition that would prevent you from performing Explorer activities

Application Process


  1. Click on the Apply Today button and follow the directions.
  2.  You will be asked to write a 1-2 page narrative (Maximum of 2 pages, must be size 12 font). In the narrative tell us about yourself and why you would like to join the program. Make sure to include a few goals and aspirations. (Narrative is part of the application)
  3. Possible in person or phone call interview (Must be able to attend if applicable) 
  4. Not being asked for an interview does not mean that you have been rejected from the Post 911 program


  • Meetings will normally occur at the Los Robles Hospital on Mondays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
